French team BBox Bouygues Telecom, supported by Colnago, has had a good start in this year’s Vuelta a Espana. After three days of racing, the squad’s climbers Johann Tschopp and Pierre Rolland positioned themselves well in the race that took on Spain’s southernmost mountains of Andalusia.

Colnago-CSF Inox’s Sacha Modolo again achieved a great result on Sunday by taking third place at the Giro del Veneto in Italy, won by Liquigas’ Daniel Oss. Modolo, who is in his first year as a professional bike rider, was able to make it through a chaotic race finale that saw his team leader Manuel Belletti crash in the last curve at 800 metres from the line.

Colnago-CSF will line up a total of 11 riders at the 82nd edition of the Giro del Veneto taking place on Saturday, August 28. Indeed, the Italian squad will have a team of ten riders at the start of the one-day race in Padua, Italy, with one other Colnago-CSF Inox member chosen into the event’s Italian team by former top professional and now national coach Paolo Bettini.

Rubens Bertogliati has been announced as the latest signing of Team Type 1. After 11 seasons of racing in Europe, the Swiss rider will be moving to the US in 2011 to compete for the American squad sponsored by Colnago.

Eva Lechner from the Colnago Cap Arreghini MTB team is ready for the last World Cup event of the season at Windham Mountain, New York. The last round of the 2010 UCI series, and the first U.S. World Cup in five years, Windham will welcome the international field of competitors next week-end, from August 28-29.

Despite an in-form Pierrick Fédrigo, who came to the GP Plouay in the hope of repeating his 2008 title, French team Bbox Bouygues Telecom was unable to prevent the race from finishing in a bunch sprint won by Australian Matthew Goss (HTC-Columbia).

Tour de France King of the Mountains Anthony Charteau is set to make his return to racing at the GP de Plouay ProTour event on Sunday (August 22). The 31-year-old Frenchman will be part of a strong Bbox Bouygues Telecom team that also includes Tour de France stage-winner Pierrick Fédrigo that will targeting victory in one of France’s most prestigious one-day events.

Colnago CSF-Inox sprinter Manuel Belletti recorded arguably the most impressive victory of his career when he beat Danilo Hondo and Mark Cavendish in the bunch sprint to claim victory in the 92nd edition of the GP Bernocchi. Belletti also claimed the scalps of Daniele Bennati and Tyler Farrar in a high-class field.

Bbox Bouygues Telecom’s two French national champions have had contrasting fortunes this week. On the same day that French time trial champion Nicolas Vogondy took an impressive third place in the TT at the Tour de Limousin, French road champion and Tour de France stage-winner Thomas Voeckler announced he has been forced to pull out of the GP de Plouay ProTour event because of illness.

Colnago-CSF Inox team leader Domenico Pozzovivo confessed he was happy with his second place finish behind Ireland’s Dan Martin in the Tre Valli Varesine. After beating Martin in the Brixia Tour last month, the two rider’s placings were reversed this time. But Pozzovivo performed well to challenge a rider who has just won the ProTour Tour of Poland event.
